Musicians In Ordinary’s Debut CD

We are pleased to present a programme of songs and lute solos based on that favourite subject of Elizabethans, Sleep and his close colleagues, Love and Death. We have sleepers who are trying to avoid lovers, sleepers who are most co-operative with their lover’s advances, a song attributed to a queen under death sentence, young men dreaming of their lovers and plenty of tortured melancholy men who, like Shakespeare’s Jaques, toss and turn in their beds thinking of their troubles.
